Large-scale canvases dedicated to the exploration of the plasticity
and emotional state of plant macroelements (mainly flowers).
Some paintings were created by the artist during the GridchinHall
art residency. 31 works, including several diptychs.
One work was acquired by the GridchinHall collection.
«Fragile Transformations» is the title of Asya Feoktistova’s triptych depicting mysterious objects that evoke strong associations with dense biomorphic matter suspended in space, formed by stretching, intertwining, pushing,
and spiraling shavings-like shapes. They impress with a sense of almost tangible volumes, behind which barely discernible is a highly magnified, close-up reality. They conceal an underlying nature that sometimes grows to the limits
of the plane, creeping beyond the canvas edges, and sometimes curls
into a thin spiral in the haze of the gently swaying background air.
