Marina Gisich Gallery.
Catherine Collection. Saint Petersburg.
Curator — Gleb Ershov.
All works were created for the space of the Catherine Collection.
A large-scale four-part composition «Shoots» (4 m × 6 m), the cycle «Scenes»
(7 parts, 250 m × 90 m), the series «Flowers of Immersion» (4 parts).
An installation in collaboration with Ivan Karpov (120 portraits of Diaghilev’s contemporaries and unknown individuals, connected with plants, detached
from the ground) occupied an authentic part of the Collection.
The installation was acquired by the collection of Natalia Opaleva.
Asya, through painting and graphics, decided to inhabit places resistant
to the invasion of contemporary art with bright, large-scale works: canvases
of various formats, numerous graphic sheets, and a powerful color chord
that explodes the deaf-mute spaces of the past. Her painting literally grows
with a riot of colors and texture, reminding with its untamed force
of the victorious beginning embedded in art.
